Hamburger

HamburgerThe hamburger is a patty made of ground beef that is grilled and served with onions and lettuce and lots of French fries. This fast food is one of the most popular foods in the world. The origin of burgers dates back to the times when the warring Turkish and Mongolian tribes used to place beef pieces under their saddles.

The meat became tender with the constant riding of the warriors and then they were eaten raw. Later this idea was introduced in Hamburg Germany from where it further migrated to America with the German immigrants.

In Germany these beef pieces were molded into steak like forms and heat was added thus giving birth to the Hamburg steak and in America modifications took place to sandwich the meat in a bun and was called hamburger.
